Carole Jean Chambers, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa.
She was an RN in Sturtevant and Oshkosh, WI, and also Ottumwa. She finished her career at the VAMC, first in Knoxville, and then in Denver, CO. She then came back to Knoxville and retired in 1996.
She is survived by her children; Kathleen (Mitchell) Chambers, Tom Chambers, Theresa (Dennis) Malone, Steven (Michelle) Chambers; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, David, Kaitlin, Kevin, and Audrey; and also one sister, Maureen (Tom) Roan. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim, and brother, William Murray.
A Celebration of Life was held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with Father Mike Volkmer C.PP.S officiating. Visitation was also held on Saturday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.,with a rosary conducted by St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral Home in Albia.
