Later in life he loved to watch sports and was an avid Hawkeye fan, liked football, and was a fan of watching tennis. He even had a great love for the dogs in his life. Nothing compared to his love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would light up at the thought of seeing them and being able to give them rides on the golf cart.
