Omaha, NE- Founder and President of Eggers Consulting before retiring in 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Paul and Opal Eggers; son, Mark D. Eggers. Survived by wife (Little Sweetheart) of 71 years, Marjorie; son, Jim S. Eggers; daughter, Barbara Bucher (Bill); brother, Chuck Eggers; grandchildren: Jim P. Eggers (Kelli), Jenny Eggers, Jason Eggers (Lindsay), Tara Bucher (fiancé, Ryan Kortus), and Ryan Bucher (April); great-grandchildren: Evan, Jack, Reese, Nathan, Alyssa, Roselina, Caleb, and Eli.
Jim was an active member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, as well as Downtown Rotary Club, Tangier Shrine Club, and Methodist Hospital Board of Directors. He was also a Board Member of Guideposts, New York; a long-time member of National Association of Personnel Services; an active member of the Republican Party (national, state, and local affiliates); and a 32nd Degree Free Mason. Jim's involvement with all these organizations reflected his strong Christian faith and his belief in the goodness of people.
SERVICES: Saturday, April 27th at 10:30am, St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 15050 W. Maple Rd. in Omaha. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials to St. Andrew United Methodist Church or Methodist Hospital Foundation.

Growing up in Knoxville in the 1950’s, my brothers and I were so fortunate to be surrounded by the friends and family of both of our parents. In that rather sizable collection of grandparents, cousins, acquaintances and neighbors, our Uncle Jim always stood out with his infectious laugh, penchant for nicknames and gregarious chatter. Ever upbeat, he encouraged my brothers and I to always be learning, to see our glass as half full as well as to “think big” and reach for the stars. My beloved Uncle Jim was an especially great influence in my life and he will always have a special place in my heart.
