Judith Ann Nash, age 73, of Knoxville, Iowa formerly of Pittsfield, Illinois passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa.
Judy was born on July 21, 1944 in Knoxville, Iowa. Judy is the daughter of Homer Thomas Jr. and Jennie Lavonne Six. She attended the Attica School.
On February 14, 1960, Judy was united in marriage to James "Jim" Nash. To this union two sons were born; James "Jamie" T. and Jeffery Scott Nash. Judy spent most of her life as a homemaker raising their two sons. She later worked for Tenex, Pella Corporation and Walmart before her family relocated to Pekin, Illinois.
While living in Illinois Judy owned and operated a spa and tanning salon for a short time. After living in Illinois for several year Judy and Jim returned back to Iowa.
Judy loved her Lord, and attended the Church of God in Knoxville, Iowa. She enjoyed many types of crafts, such as: Macramé, Stained Glass, and crocheting. She also loved spending time with family and friends.
Her smile, laugh, and zany antics were her gift to us all!
Judy's wishes were to be cremated, a visitation for Judy will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Winfield Funeral Home. Judy's family will be greeting friends during this time.
A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville, with Pastor Raymond Bettis officiating. Burial will be held on a later date.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, James Nash; two children, James T. (Regina) Nash of Griggsville, IL and Jeffery Scott (Sheila) Nash of Herrick, IL; three sisters in law, Sharon Johnson, Mary Groenendyk, and Shirley Beaman. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Amber Tremmel, Derrick Nash, Jeremy Nash, Cortney Wrenn, Aaron Nash, Mary Nash, Cody Nash, Nathan Nash, Dustin Lash, Andrew McLeese, and Lauren McLeese; twenty one great grandchildren; and a the family pet dog, Max. Judy is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial in Judy's memory may be left to the Comfort House of Pella. Condolences may be sent to www.winfieldfh.com. The Winfield Funeral Home is assisting Judy's family with services.
