Violet Jane Reynolds, age 83, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, in her home in Knoxville. A graveside memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the Pleasantville Cemetery, in Pleasantville. Violet was born on Jan. 22, 1932. She is the daughter of Lee Breese and Hildred Jones. Violet graduated from Melcher Schools. On April 30, 1955, in Osceola, Iowa, Violet and Kenneth James Reynolds were united in marriage. The couple had one son; Kenneth Lee Reynolds and one daughter; Debra Willemsen. Violet was a homemaker who raised her family in a home filled with love and laughter. Violet always enjoyed dancing and listening to country music. Violet was a proud mother and grandmother who loved gardening, canning and making yarn rugs. Violet took great pride in spending time with her family and her dogs. Violet is survived by one daughter; Debra Willemsen of rural Knoxville, two grandsons Kenny Willemsen of Newton and Jonnie Willemsen of rural Knoxville; one brother, David Breese of Des Moines; and 2 sisters, Beatrice “Beat” Murphy of Knoxville and Dorothy of rural Melcher.
