Wayne Paul Allen, age 74, of Hamilton, Iowa, passed away June 30, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Visitation was held at 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville; Wayne's family was present from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M, Wednesday evening.
A Funeral service was held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Winfield Funeral Home, with Pastor Vince Goemaat officiating. Following services burial will be held at the Marysville Cemetery in Marysville, Iowa.
Wayne was born in Iowa City, Iowa on June 10, 1942. He is the son of William "Bill" and Florence (DeVine) Allen. Wayne attended school in Bussey, Iowa.
Wayne spent many years of his life working for Lambirth's on a waste management route. He enjoyed working outside, mowing, and watching Western movies. Wayne's favorite throughout his life was; adding to, maintaining, and organizing his collection of Matchbox cars and Hot Wheels Cars.
Wayne is survived by his two sisters; Evelyn (Mike) Fee of Oskaloosa, Betty Miller of Oskaloosa; one brother, Terry Allen of Florida; and one cousin and longtime caretaker, Chris (Dave) Klein of rural Bussey. Wayne is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Jasper and Dot Allen; one brother, Ronnie Allen; and one cousin/brother, Chet Allen; his brother-in-law, James Miller; and his niece, Jessica Miller.
