William "Billy" Dean Noftsger was born August 2, 1963 to Donald and Cleta (Hoch) Noftsger in Chariton, Iowa. Billy was raised alongside his four siblings in Melcher-Dallas. He graduated from Melcher High School in 1981. After graduation, Billy worked for Pella Corp for eleven years. He was smart, hardworking, determined, and reliable. He went on to drive a truck for several years and ended his career working for Musco Lighting for eight years. He was proud of his time with Musco.

Billy was giving of himself and his time. He loved to help others. He enjoyed time hunting with family and friends. He liked attending local mud runs. Above all, Billy loved to spend time with his grandkids. Although he had his struggles, Billy never complained. His ornery personality, bright eyes, and sweet smile will be missed by so many.

Billy passed away July 5, 2016 at his home. Survivors include his parents: Don and Cleta Noftsger; daughters: Valen (Daniel) Burns and their children: Cooper, Lillie and a baby Burns on the way, Stephanie Hunn and her son Weston McDonald, and Lacey Hunn and her daughter Ella Riley; siblings: Debbie (Will) Bell, Donald (Mary Jo) Noftsger Jr., John (Beverly) Noftsger, and Sandee (Rod) Bodholdt. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
